This page is about the CutCycle app
(com.cutcycle.app), published by Taine Foxcroft t/a CutCycle,
ABN 71 463 916 455.
The quickest way: in the app
Open CutCycle, go to Account, and tap Delete my account.
You will be asked to confirm twice, and it takes effect straight away.
If you would rather not use the app
You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to be able to sign in.
Email us and we will do it for you.
So we delete the right account and not someone else's, please send it
from the email address on the account and tell us your name and the
service address. If you no longer have access to that address, email us anyway from
any address, say so, and we will find another way to confirm it is you.
We action requests within 7 days and email you when it is done.
If anything holds it up we will tell you why, and it will never take longer than
30 days.
What gets deleted
Permanently, and it cannot be undone:
- Your login and password — you will not be able to sign in again.
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your property: street address, suburb, postcode, its map coordinates, lawn size
and any access notes you gave us — gate codes, where to park, the dog.
- Every photograph of your property, deleted from our storage:
the before and after photos from each visit, the photos from your inspection,
and your baseline assessment.
- The contents of your messages to us and any support tickets.
- Your push notification token and notification preferences.
If you have worked for CutCycle, your employee record is deactivated and your tax
file number, superannuation details and emergency contacts are erased.
What we have to keep, and why
We cannot lawfully delete everything, and we will not tell you we have.
- Invoices, payments and GST records. Australian tax law requires
a business to keep these. They stay, but they no longer name you: the customer
record they point at has had every personal detail scrubbed out of it.
- The service record — the dates we attended, what was done
and what it cost. Same thing: kept, de-identified, and stripped of photos and notes.
- Workplace health and safety records, if you were an employee.
Queensland WHS law requires incident records to be kept, and they must keep
naming the incident even when the person's login is gone.
How long each of those is kept for is set out in the retention table in our
Privacy Policy. Nothing we keep identifies you, and none
of it is used to contact you or to market to you.
What happens to your plan and your money
- Your plan is closed and your card is not charged again.
- If you have paid in advance for visits we do not end up delivering, we refund
the unused amount within 14 business days (Terms 11.5).
- There is no exit fee. If you are inside a 6 or 12-month minimum
term, what is repayable is only the discount you have already had on the visits
we have already done — never more than that discount, and nothing at all
for visits we have not done. We work the figure out and tell you; nothing is
charged without you hearing from us first.
Changed your mind?
Deletion cannot be reversed, and we cannot restore an account afterwards — the
data is gone, not hidden. If you only want to stop for a while, use
Pause in the app instead: it holds your plan for two to eight weeks
with nothing to pay, and your history stays where it is.
